Daniel OB p h o t o g r a p h e r p a i n t e r From dust came to dust shall return, me and my wife, my cameras and my brushes, my photography and my painting born 1958 somewhere under the Sun and whenever I see the light I remember I am a photographer and painter ----------- my first contact with art was at age eight while making drawings for the Church in Belgrade first contact with photography was a year later when my first camera is presented to me by my grandma at age of ten to twelve learn periodically about drawings and photography from H.C. Bresson - friend of my father at age of eighteen attended photo school in Politika-Belgrade and meet T. Peternek - great European photo journalist completed in Europe, at age of 24 State Academy of Art (3 years) studied Greek art history and technique of Flanders masters Rubens & Rembrandt for 2 years, and photography 1 year State Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (5 years) in 1984 work as co-curator and in Department of Art Documentation in Nation Museum of Contemporary Art, Novi Beograd in 1991 decided to make a turn and quit my childhood city Indjija and residence in Switzerland at age of 34 moved to Toronto Canada, the land of my childhood dream that moment all my previous artworks are lost at Russian border i guess it should be like that for a new life was ahead of me ----------- in 1998 bought my first Leica in Alt-Camera Toronto it was time when I decided to quit painting and cling to photography during 1988 to 2000 work hard on photography and spent many days with photography in NYC in 1999 completed work on a new exposure system, a problem H.C.Bresson photographer set before me a long ago the new exposure system enabled me full control over the whole photographic process and set me free from technical problems during 1999 to 2006 work on projects as Broken Law, Nature & Man, The Sun, and defining Canadian art photography member of The Royal Photographic Society, from 2007 year in 2007 resume oil painting in parallel with photography presently live and work in Toronto and NYC finishing work on book about technique and art in Black & White photography building my own beautiful photo studio in which I will set my the most important exhibition - me and my life -------- art is completely opposite of what you think it is           My Car: Toyota RAV4 Limited - 2004 ( I call it -yo-). In 2007 year -yo- will play with me on the most important assignment in my life.
